Spain's version of sparkling wine, made in the same method as Champagne, from Xarel Lo, Parellada and Macabeo. Solid white-fruit aromas blend with a grassy note of hay as well as dusty floral scents. A smooth mouthfeel is devoid of edginess, while friendly white peach, melon and apple flavours are round on the finish.

The Carnival of Venice began in the twelfth century – a celebration of victory against the Patriarch of Aquileia. Each year San Marco Square would fill with people dancing and feasting behind elaborate and exotic masks, adding to the mystique of the Carnival. And so La Maschera (the mask) was born. Italy has a long history with Prosecco, which has inspired the making of La Maschera Prosecco.

‘La Maschera’ translates in English to ‘The Mask’ and as we know, masks are a traditional part of the Carnival of Venice celebrations held each year in Veneto in the north-east region of Italy, which is the home of the Pinot Grigio grape. The climatic conditions are somewhat similar to the maritime region of the Limestone Coast where the grapes for this wine were grown.

These grapes come from beautiful old bush-vines, on the Helderberg Mountain at the heart of the estate where we are located in Stellenbosch. Here is all the 'good' aspects of Pinotage’s heritage into the bottle - cherry fruit related to Pinot, spiciness related to Cinsault. Free-run juice only was used which displays red cherries, violets and a juicy palate, which finishes with balance, length, a touch of minerality and some really funky spice.

A dry red wine made from Kalecik Karasi grapes indigenous to Anatolia. Ruby in color with slight garnet reflections. Intense flavors of ripe red fruits, strawberries, raspberries and plum are present on the palate along with spicy notes of black pepper and chestnuts. Vinkara Kalecik Karas is smooth, well balanced and intense with a long lingering finish.
